Book Club

The aim of the book club is that through your reading and discussion time with fellow believers you will grow deeper in your knowledge and understanding of who God is and what Jesus has accomplished for us. This knowledge will then lead you to grow in love, devotion, and worship of God. This group is not to replace your Growth Group involvement or your TAG time Time Alone with God.

INFORMAL MEETING IN THE SOUTH LOBBY

Look over the books in the reading list and meet the Book Club facilitator, Bjorn Ahlberg.

BOOK DISCUSSIONS

No discussion questions will be provided. Everyone is expected to come with points/topics/ideas that they would like to discuss. Take notes and underline while reading. Below are some discussion ideas to ponder as you read.

  • Something you found profound or stuck with you
  • Anything you read that changes, challenges, or deepens your understanding of God, yourself, or your relationship with him
  • Anything that ties into personal life experience that you would like to share during the discussion
  • Any critiques of the books content and message, or statements you find hard to accept.

SCHEDULE

We will meet every 4-6 weeks (depending on book length, holidays, events, etc.) over the course of a year. Meeting day and time will be determined by participants and place will be determined by group size. Ideally you would commit to the whole year but you are free to participate as your interest or schedule allows.
